Congratulations to our Chair Cllr Nick Adams King for being elected Leader of Hampshire County Council.
We welcome the new report on Disabled People in the Housing Sector by @CommonsLUHC, highlighting crucial barriers to accessible housing. Our Deputy Chair, @CllrHDalton, supported this inquiry by chairing an important District Councils' roundtable discussion.
EEH was pleased to give evidence before MPs for this inquiry, which has made a number of strong recommendations. With @TransportfSE and @transporteast we're working hard to ensure the wider south-east's transport supports communities, businesses, economic growth and decarb.

The whole system of “beauty contest bidding” in levelling up funding is bad for #localgovernment.
It creates a “begging bowl culture” where councils are required to spend too much time and money to meet the ever-changing demands of Ministers, rather than plan for the long-term.
